Western blot analysis of recombinant GST-tagged protein, using Abmart GST-tag (12G8) Mouse mAb. The antibody dilutions are 1:5000 (lane 1) and 1:10000 (lane 2). Each lane was loaded with 10 ng of recombinant protein.

12G8 can specifically detect 1 ng of recombinant protein. There is 6 ng, 3 ng, 1 ng, and 0 ng GST-tagged recombinant protein in lanes 1-4, respectively. The 12G8 antibody dilution is 1:5000.

AbMATE-2A8 A positive control for using
12G8
|
AbMATE-12G8 is a pre-made PVDF membrane strip containing a 28 kDa GST-tagged protein and a mouse IgG protein dot. Probing AbMATE-12G8 with 12G8 antibody on a Western experiment shall produce the following results (as shown on the right):
- 1)The 26 kDa band shall show up (reacted with 12G8)
- 2)The mouse IgG dot shall show up (reacted with anti-mouse secondary antibody)
Failure to see above result suggests that your Western experiment system is NOT
working, and likely your own Western experiment will not work with
12G8. If you see the expected band and the dot (12G8
is working), but your own experiment membrane is not what you expected, please look
for other reasons (for example, your protein sample preparation) rather than Western
system itself.

(The AbMATE-12G8
